There are only few specialised Japanese grocery shops in Melbourne. Unfortunately, they all locate in inner Melbourne suburbs. The following shops are specialised in Japanese take away or groceries. They have a huge variety of Japanese soy sauce, Tofu, Miso, dashi stock, etc. Some shops often sell imported Japanese Sake and good quality of sushi/sashimi fillets. The shop assistants are all Japanese who should be able to assist you with your shopping.

If there is no Japanese grocery shops near you, try a Korean grocers, which usually have a good range of Japanese products and alternative products.
